These terms apply when you use Clutch on WhatsApp or visit talktoclutch.com. By using Clutch, you agree to them. Clutch is run by Clutch Automotive Technologies Ltd ("Clutch", "we").
What Clutch does
Clutch helps you understand car problems and what repairs should cost, using what you tell us, AI tools and current market prices. Clutch gives guidance. It does not inspect or repair your car, and it is not a replacement for a qualified mechanic seeing your car in person.
Prices are estimates
Price ranges come from current market listings, mostly in Lagos, and are a guide only. Actual prices depend on the seller, the part's quality and condition, your location and labour. Labour is not included unless we say so.
Safety comes first
If your car may be unsafe, stop driving and get help. Don't rely on a chat in an emergency. Decisions about your car, and any work done on it, are yours and your mechanic's.
Partner mechanics
If we introduce you to a partner mechanic, any agreement for work is between you and that mechanic. We vet partners, but we are not responsible for their work, prices or conduct. Please tell us if something goes wrong, so we can act on it.
Clutch Pro
Clutch Pro is a paid monthly plan. The current price is shown on our website. You can cancel by messaging Clutch, and your plan runs until the end of the period you've paid for. We'll tell you in advance if the price changes.
Using Clutch fairly
Please don't misuse Clutch, send abusive or illegal content, try to break or copy the service, or pretend to be someone else. We may limit or end access for anyone who does.
Our responsibility
We work hard to give accurate, useful answers, but we can't guarantee every answer is right for your car. As far as the law allows, Clutch is not liable for losses from decisions you make, repairs done by others, or parts bought from third parties. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer law.
Your information
How we handle your information is explained in our privacy policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using Clutch after a change, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
